Parklands & Gardens
Picture it. Living in a parkland oasis with open spaces 11 times the size of AAMI Stadium. Imagine relaxing with friends and family amidst the landscaped gardens, walking and cycling trails, playing fields and picnic areas.
At the heart of St Clair is a large urban waterway of approximately six hectares. Due for completion in the last quarter of 2012, these lagoons will enhance the picturesque charm of St Clair and provide recreational and educational facilities including boardwalks and interpretive trails.
An underground aquifer capable of collecting, storing and recycling enough water to fill 480 Olympic swimming pools every year will maintain St Clair’s evergreen parkland community… and enable residents to enjoy the benefits of private and public gardens being green all year round. A sustainable sanctuary in the making.
Ecological viewing boardwalks
With St Clair’s lagoons creating a natural flora and wildlife habitat, a viewing boardwalk will let the community to interact with their waterway sanctuary as well providing a link between the water and parklands. This Biodiversity Corridor will be a native sanctuary of flora and fauna at St Clair.
Cycling and walking trails
St Clair will be a sanctuary of walking and cycling trails, with landscaped pathways encompassing the Cheltenham Parade boundary and the railway corridor, and ready for the whole community to enjoy.
St Clair’s open space area will also feature playgrounds and sports playing fields, including first class cricket pitches and soccer grounds.
St Clair Village Square Cafes & Retail
St Clair will offer a vibrant, cosmopolitan lifestyle the whole community can share. Catch up with friends… escape to a pavement cafe or simply enjoy your own shopping sanctuary complete with Coles supermarket and specialty shops due for completion early 2013.
Bus & Train Transport
Centrally located to main arterials of Cheltenham Parade, Woodville Road, Torrens Road and Port Road links St Clair the city and Port Adelaide.
While handy bus routes on Torrens Road and Woodville Road, and the Woodville Railway Station offer public transport options, St Clair’s planned Railway Station in 2013 will mean every home at St Clair will be less than 800 metres from the train. Better still, new express services will have residents in the CBD in 10 minutes.
Woodville Road Precinct Access
St Clair offers easy access to Woodville Road with its train station, cafes, community facilities and shops. The government is proposing an upgrade to the precinct that will provide housing and enhanced transport between St Clair, the CBD and the coast.
The tramline extension from the CBD to the Entertainment Centre is planned to be followed by an upgrade of the rail line adjacent to St Clair, enabling easy access from St Clair through to West Lakes and Semaphore.
At St Clair you’ll discover an address with a diverse range of housing choice, with smart and innovative home styles ranging from apartments, to luxury townhouses and generous allotments suitable for premium homes, all set within stunning streetscapes and green parklands.
