St Clair Housing Bonanza!

The new St Clair housing development is set to boost an already healthy real estate market in Cheltenham, local agents say.The median house price in the suburb has risen 33 per cent in the past five years from $277,500 in 2005 to $369,000 in 2010.
Brock Harcourts Woodville agent George Kouzionis said the St Clair development would cause a boom in house prices.
"It will bring an influx of new homes of a high calibre," Mr Kouzionis said. The large blocks and character homes already made it attractive for families
The St Clair housing development will include 1200 new homes on the former Cheltenham racecourse and a former factory site on nearby Actil Rd.
Ray White Semaphore/Port Adelaide principal Peter Kikianis said the housing development would attract youth. "The newer part of Cheltenham is attracting young professionals," he said.
