New St Clair Playground Officially Launched

The new St Clair playground was officially launched by children from the nearby St Margaret’s Kindergarten Playgroup at Woodville this month. More than 30 children and their parents tested out the new playground, part of the $2 million St Clair Playing Fields, which also incorporates the new sports oval and change room facilities.The children also enjoyed having their face painted and a sausage sizzle by The Rotary Club of Woodville. The playground has been designed in two parts with equipment for two key age groups, 2 – 6 year olds and 6 -12 year olds.
A shaded area with electric BBQ facilities, picnic tables have also been incorporated.
The playground is already being used by the local community including residents at St Clair and surrounding suburbs. The playground forms part of St Clair’s network of landscaped gardens, walking and cycling trails, playing fields and green open spaces.
