Woodville High School Enterprise Award
23 November 2010
As part of its ongoing commitment to the local community, St Clair is proud to support Woodville High School through the sponsorship of one of the school’s Enterprise Awards.
Recognising the need to promote excellence in the building industry the annual award is given to the most outstanding student in Certificate I General Construction.
Last year, 17-year old Ashley Anspach received the honour, having shown both academic excellence, as well as a great attitude and motivation to work. He has recently completed Year 11 and hopes to secure an apprenticeship as an electrician.
School Principal Meredith Edwards said that the school is very excited about the ongoing involvement with St Clair.
“There are some fantastic opportunities which this partnership can bring to the school’s students, teachers, its facilities and the wider community.”
Woodville High School opened in 1915, and is
still operating on the same site on Actil Avenue 95 years later. Its
diverse cultural mix gives the school a unique character as well as a
long tradition of producing proud scholars in a
proud community.
This partnership is the first of many for St Clair, as the project takes shape and becomes actively involved in the local community and an active participant in the life and spirit of the western suburbs.
